1. Black Bass: Expect bass to be holding in shallow coves, pockets, and around bluff banks. Rattling lures like Rat-L-Traps or crankbaits ripped through cover will entice bites, especially around submerged structures and rocky points. As water cools slightly, bass may move toward slightly deeper wood and brushpiles, so target these areas with suspending jerkbaits or plastic worms.
2. Stripers: Trolling with bucktails or live shad around the Clarksville area can still produce stripers, especially in the early morning and late afternoon. Casting into schools of shad or working live bait along creek channels might also bring success. Look for active schools near creek mouths and submerged humps.
3. Crappie: Crappie are likely to be found around bridge pilings, brushpiles, and submerged structures in the creeks. Using live minnows or small jigs under a bobber around these areas will maximize your chances for good catches. Consider fishing during overcast conditions for better bites.

Despite the chance of rain showers, conditions remain favorable for a variety of species. Cooler temperatures and moderate winds create comfortable fishing conditions, and the water levels remain stable. This time of year often produces excellent fishing opportunities as fish prepare for winter. Stay mobile, target structures and drop-offs, and be ready for both active and bite-and-wait patterns. Tight lines and good luck out there!
