1. Largemouth Bass: Bass are schooling around submerged points and old road beds in 4-10 feet of water. Use Carolina-rigged plastic worms or pumpkinseed Zoom lizards in natural colors, working slowly along structure.
2. Striped Bass: Striper action remains slow but steady near the dam and around buoy 5 to buoy 8. Trolling with bucktails, Cordell Redfins (silver/black back or fluorescent red), or live shad is effective.
3. Crappie: Crappie are holding tight to brush piles and bridge pilings in 10-18 feet of water. Small minnows and white or pink jigs fished near the bottom are producing the best catches.
4. White Bass: White bass can be found near creek mouths like Grassy and Eastland, jigging Little Georges close to the bottom in about 20 feet of water.
Stable, mostly clear weather and cooling air temperatures are encouraging fish to become more active, especially in early morning and late evening. Focus on points and structure in the creeks and midlake areas for the best chances. With light winds and clear skies, slow-rolling spinnerbaits and finesse presentations will be productive.
