1. Largemouth bass: Expect to find bass holding near submerged cover such as brushpiles and rocky points, especially in the shallower coves and banks. Early and late in the day, topwater lures and suspending jerkbaits are effective, targeting fish feeding near the surface. During midday, slow-moving jigs and plastics on Carolina rigs can produce good results around structure.
2. Stripers: Striper activity is gradually moving downlake, with the best action occurring around the mouth of Eastland Creek and near Clarksville. Trolling crankbaits and bucktails in the 10-20 foot range can entice strikes, especially in the mornings. Live bait, such as shad, remains productive in key hotspots.
3. Crappie: Crappie are still being caught around bridge pilings and dock structures using live minnows and small jigs. Focus on deeper docks and submerged cover for best success. Fish tend to be holding around 8-12 feet deep at this time of year.

With the stable water levels and sunny weather, conditions should remain favorable for anglers. Fish are actively feeding, and steady winds will help break up the surface and encourage feeding activity. Keep an eye on structure and drop-offs, and adapt your bait choices to the species you’re targeting. Whether you’re chasing bass, stripers, or crappie, this is a good time to get out and enjoy the lake. Tight lines and happy fishing!
