1. Crappie: Crappie fishing remains productive around brushpiles and bridge pilings, with anglers reporting good catches of 1-3 pound fish using small minnows. Focus on cover in creeks and near channel edges for best results.
2. Largemouth Bass: Shallow-water bass are active in pockets, coves, and around bluff banks. Rattletraps and crankbaits retrieved slowly over structure are effective, especially in areas with rockpiles and wood cover in 4-6 feet of water.
3. Stripers: Stripers are likely to be found feeding near the shoreline, especially around schools of shad. Trolling with bucktails or live shad around the Clarksville area continues to produce bites, with casting into roaming shad schools yielding both bass and stripers.
4. Other Species: With the cooler water temps and overcast skies, some anglers may find success targeting white bass and catfish using live bait or cut bait along dropoffs and channel edges.

Conditions remain stable with mild winds and overcast skies, providing good conditions for fishing across multiple species. As water temperatures hover in the high 60s, expect shallow and mid-depth structures to be productive. Keep moving and adjusting techniques based on species activity, and enjoy the fall fishing opportunity at Kerr Lake. Tight lines and good luck!
