1. Striper: Trolling along main lake points and creek channels remains productive, with fish actively schooling in the lower and mid-lake areas. Cordell Redfins and bucktail jigs continue to produce good catches, especially in the mornings and late afternoons.
2. Largemouth Bass: Shallow water fishing is excellent in the backs of coves and around shallow rockpiles, with many fish holding in 2-5 feet of water. Topwater lures and shallow-running crankbaits are working well on actively feeding bass.
3. Crappie: Using minnows over submerged structures such as brushpiles and around bridge pilings in 10-15 feet of water will yield good results. Crappie are actively schooling and feeding in these areas.
4. White Bass: Schools are still cruising in the mouths of creeks and around main lake humps, taking small silver crankbaits and inline spinners. Look for quick-moving schools near the surface or just below.
As the weather remains stable with sunny skies and mild temperatures, expect consistent fishing conditions. Fish activity is good across various species, especially in shallow and mid-depth areas. Keep your baits lively and focus on structure and points where fish congregate during these clear, calm days. This is a great time to target multiple species and enjoy some productive fishing before the cooler fall weather fully settles in. Stay safe, and tight lines!
