1. Largemouth Bass: Fair action continuing on spinnerbaits and live shad in 6-8 feet of water, especially around main lake points and rocky shorelines. Rat-L-Traps remain effective for larger bass holding near creek mouths and back coves.
2. Crappie: Good fishing over brushpiles and submerged timber in 12-15 feet of water. Small minnows and slow-trolled jigs are producing best results, particularly in Rudd’s, Butcher, and Panhandle Creeks.
3. Striped Bass: Active around old river channel bends and creek points in 8-15 feet of water. Cut shad fished near the bottom and bucktails or live shad drifting near the surface midday are productive. Watch for gull activity indicating feeding fish.

Cool water temperatures and stable water levels are maintaining consistent winter patterns on Kerr Lake this week. With mild air temps and light winds, fishing conditions are comfortable and steady. Anglers should focus on structure and creek mouths during low-light periods when bass and crappie are most active. Stripers continue to respond well to live bait presentations around deeper channel breaks. Stay patient and persistent for the best winter catches. Good luck on the water!
