Five days of heavy rainfall has pushed up water levels on Buggs Island Lake, flooding low-lying bridges and roads. Above, the bridge on Jones Road in the Trottinridge area. Right, floodwaters are released through Kerr Dam as lake levels rose to above 314 feet on Tuesday.
Closed boat ramps and flooded streets dampened holiday activities over the Memorial Day weekend as water levels shot up by more than 10 feet on Buggs Island Lake.
