1. Largemouth Bass: Bass are active in shallow to mid-depths, especially around buckbrush and willow bushes in 3-7 feet of water. Try plastic worms, creature baits, or spinnerbaits fished slowly near rocky points and submerged wood.
2. Striped Bass: Stripers are holding 10-15 feet deep along main channel points and bridge structures. Trolling live shad, bucktails, or Redfins near Buoys 6-14 and below the dam will produce the best results.
3. Crappie: Crappie are concentrated around submerged brush and bridge pilings in 8-12 feet of water. Live minnows under a slip bobber remain the top choice.
4. White Bass: White bass are schooling near creek mouths and deeper channel edges. Small crankbaits, Roostertails, and bucktails fished late in the day or early evening can trigger surface strikes.
5. Catfish: Catfish are actively feeding in shallow coves. Cut shad and chicken livers near creek mouths or shallow flats are effective baits.

Stable, clear weather and moderate water temperatures are creating favorable conditions across Kerr Lake this week. Anglers should focus on shallow cover in the mornings and transition to deeper structure midday. Light wind and calm water provide excellent opportunities for topwater and finesse presentations. Whether targeting bass or stripers, persistence around key habitat will pay off. Get out early and enjoy some productive spring fishing!
