Water Level: 299.5 | Water Temperature: 59.7˚
Weather: 69˚ | Patchy Fog | Winds: 3 mph
1. Largemouth Bass: Bass are starting to move onto main lake points and secondary humps in 5-10 feet of water. Soft plastics rigged Texas or Carolina style around buckbrush and submerged willows are producing well. Early morning topwater action can be productive near shallow flats.
2. Striped Bass: Stripers remain active near deeper ledges and around creek channel bends. Live shad and bucktails worked between Buoys 6-14 continue to be effective, especially during low light periods. Night fishing near Clarksville bridges is picking up.
3. Crappie: Crappie are schooling around submerged brush piles and bridge pilings in 10-15 feet of water. Live minnows fished vertically remain the best presentation.
4. White Bass: White bass are schooling near creek mouths and channel edges. Casting small jigs or spoons around these areas during midday can yield good results.
The current mild temperatures and low winds combined with slightly stained water from recent rains are creating favorable conditions for active fishing throughout the day. Anglers should focus on early morning and late evening periods for topwater bites, while mid-day remains productive for finesse presentations around structure. As water temperatures continue to rise, expect bass and crappie to push shallower and stripers to hold around deeper drop-offs. Get out early and enjoy steady fishing this week at Kerr Lake!
