1. Largemouth Bass: Bass are starting to move toward shallow points and creek mouths as water temperatures slowly rise. Target 5-10 feet near rocky, red clay points using crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and plastic grubs.
2. Crappie: Excellent fishing continues over brushpiles and submerged structures in coves and creeks. Slow trolling with small minnows or jigging near 6-10 feet produces the best results.
3. Striped Bass: Stripers remain active on major creek points in 8-15 feet of water. Use cut or live shad on the bottom, with surface action best around midday using bucktails or drifting live shad. Watch for gulls locating baitfish.

With mild temperatures and steady water levels, fishing conditions are improving as spring approaches. Anglers should focus on the transition zones from deeper winter holding areas to shallower spawning grounds. Patience and varied presentations near key structures will reward persistent fishermen this week at Kerr Lake.
