Buggs Island. The crappie and bass have started moving shallow, towards the backs of creeks, triggered by the warm spell. In a crappie tournament at Bobcat’s a colossal 4.24 pound crappie won the big fish pot. I guess it did. Bets action for crappie has come form tight-lining jigs tipped with a small shiner in 3 to 8 feet of water. The bass are clobbering spinnerbaits, Chatterbaits and some soft plastics.
