Despite the extreme heat, the 42nd annual Virginia Lake Festival was a resounding success, says Clarksville Lake Country Chamber executive director Sheila Cuykendall, who pointed to the crowds that packed on Virginia Avenue early Saturday morning, the complete sell-out of souvenir T-shirts and the balloon pilots that were able to launch both Friday and Saturday morning.
